On August 7 – 11, U.S. Cremation Equipment president Luis Llorens attended the 2013 CANA Convention in Washington, D.C. He reports that the convention was well attended and quite successful. If you ever have the opportunity to visit our nation’s capital, two sites he recommends highly are the Newseum and the Holocaust Museum.
The Newseum is a museum of news that offers, as the website says “an experience that blends five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and hands-on exhibits”.
The Holocaust Museum’s primary mission is to “advance and disseminate knowledge about this unprecedented tragedy; to preserve the memory of those who suffered; and to encourage its visitors to reflect upon the moral and spiritual questions raised by the events of the Holocaust as well as their own responsibilities as citizens of a democracy.”
Both experiences were fascinating and very inspiring.
At the upcoming 2014 CANA /NFDA Cremation Symposium, U.S. Cremation Equipment has been selected to provide cremator operator training. We look forward to seeing all our friends in Las Vegas February 4th!
